The Story of Joia

It was love at first sip. But not until it whacked me over the head and shook me to the point that I realized I had to change the way I was living. 

For several years, I had struggled to come to terms with a truth that I wasn't yet living a life I loved. I wore burnout like a badge of honor, pushing, producing, performing, all while ignoring what it was costing me. 

So right there, in the middle of my busy life, I made a different decision. 

As a wife and a working mom of two, putting everything to the back burner and putting myself first, wasn't just frowned upon, it was hard to do. I decided I couldn't continue to pour into everyone else while neglecting my body, and so I set out to redefine what joy looked like to me.

That journey began with my health. I transformed my diet; studying pathways to longevity, and learning from Mediterranean cultures known for lifestyles that support vitality well into old age. What surprised me most was this. As I prioritized myself, my family began to thrive alongside me.

Foods associated with Blue Zone longevity like spinach, kale, and beet soon became essential ingredients in what would become Joia.

I realized that joy doesn’t have to be loud, or performative. It can look like steady energy, clear digestion, a calm nervous system, a body that felt like home..

A year later, I would go on to create Joia cold-pressed juices, intended to support digestive health, immune resilience, and everyday vitality using nature’s most nourishing ingredients. 

Each of our bottles are pressed fresh to order, preserving nutrients, enzymes, and flavor so your body can drink in the highest quality, most nutritious and best tasting juice possible without additives, or preservatives. But Joia is more than a juice. 

It’s a reminder that we can access joy now while we’re building, growing, creating, and simply doing life. Joia is for people who want to live well without disappearing from their lives to do it.

Beyond our juices, I'm most proud of our community which is made up of every person, from every walk of life, age, gender. Joia is for everyone, like me, who has been inspired to make healthier choices.
